Felix Antwi Baidoo appeals for Amenfi West roads to be prioritised under ‘Big Push’

A communications officer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Amenfi West, Felix Antwi Baidoo, has passionately appealed to government and the Ministry of Roads and Highways to prioritize road infrastructure development in the constituency under the ongoing Big Push agenda.

According to him, the nationwide inspections and tours being undertaken by the Roads Minister signal a renewed commitment towards improving Ghana’s road network and deserve commendation. He noted that roads remain one of the most critical pillars of national development, serving as the backbone for economic growth, trade, healthcare delivery, education, and social mobility.

Felix Antwi Baidoo observed that despite Amenfi West’s enormous economic potential in agriculture, mining, and commerce, poor road infrastructure continues to slow down development and make life difficult for residents across the constituency.

“For years, farmers, traders, students, drivers, and ordinary residents have had to endure deplorable roads, especially during the rainy season when many communities become almost inaccessible,” he stated.

He stressed that the poor state of roads in the area continues to affect economic activity, delay access to healthcare, disrupt education, and worsen the living conditions of many people within the constituency.

The NDC communicator hopeful believes that constructing and rehabilitating roads in Amenfi West will bring significant economic and social benefits, including reducing travel time, improving transportation, attracting investment, creating jobs, and opening up communities for development.

Felix Antwi Baidoo further described the government’s Big Push programme as a unique opportunity to bridge development gaps across the country and ensure that no constituency is left behind.

“Amenfi West deserves its fair share of national development. Prioritising our roads will unlock the full potential of the constituency and improve the quality of life of our people,” he emphasised.

He expressed hope that government would listen to the concerns of residents and extend the benefits of the initiative to the constituency, insisting that development must be inclusive and reflective of the contribution of the people of Amenfi West to national growth.
