Fire destroys dormitories at Accra Academy

Properties worth thousands of Ghana Cedis were on Wednesday evening destroyed by fire at the Accra Academy Senior High School.

Photos and videos are rife on social media with some claiming that dormitories in two halls of residences in the school, namely Alema and Halm-Addo were gutted by fire.

According to sources, if not for the timely intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service, more dormitories could have been affected .

No casualty was recorded as well as the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
