I Did Not Kill Ebony – Kumchacha

Popular Prophet Kumchacha is fuming with anger and heading to court over supposed claims that he had a hand in the tragic death of the late super-star, Ebony Reigns.

Kumchacha, officially known as Nicholas Osei is Founder and Leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries and has warned he would never take kindly to such claims.

“I have asked my lawyers to sue Patapaa for saying I killed Ebony. When I first heard that nonsense, I decided to bet him up physically anywhere we meet.

“But I was told it would amount to assault so I won’t beat him up myself but I would let the law deal with him in a way he would never forget. He has to prove his lies against me. Was I the driver of the car? Was I hiding in the engine? Patapaa must come and explain in court why he is linking me to the death of Ebony”, Kumchacha noted in anger.

Contributing to panel discussions on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review programme on Saturday, Prophet Kumchacha wondered why, as a man of God could be connected to the death of Ebony just because he had in the past questioned the clothing line of the deceased.

He reminded his accusers that he was not the driver of Ebony at the time of the incident nor was he aware of Ebony’s travels.

Patapaa

Kumchacha’s comments comes on the heels of accusations from “Patapaa” the “One Corner” hitmaker that he killed Ebony.

Patapaa who disagrees with Kumchacha’s criticisms of Ebony is reported to have blamed the man of God on a radio interview after Ebony’s death, calling for the pastor to be banished from Ghana.

Prophet Kumchacha had at some point also criticized Patapaa’s ‘One Corner’ song for being demonic.

The station could not reach Patapaa to explain his side of the story.

Kumchacha had consistently criticized Ebony for what he described as her provocative way of dressing while she was alive.

One-Week

Meanwhile, thousands of Ghanaians from all walks of life yesterday converged at the St. Martin De Porres School at Dansoman in Accra for the ‘one-week’ celebration of Ebony.

Big names and legends in the Entertainment industry clad in red and black attires defied the dictates of the weather to pay their respect to the fallen artiste to be buried on March 17, 2018.

Among the dignities present were Dr. Lawrence Tetteh who is deemed Ebony’s ‘Spiritual Father’, Communications minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Tourism and Creative Arts minister Catherine Afeku Shatta Wale, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, Fadda Dickson and a delegation from the Despite Media Group, Rex Omar, Becca, Edem, Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Adjorlolo and veteran actor, Grace Omaboe aka ‘Maame Dokono’.

Ebony Reigns and two others were killed on the Kumasi-Sunyani road in a gory accident last week.

The three who were heading to Kumasi in a black Jeep after visiting Ebony’s mother in Sunyani collided with a VIP bus that was heading to Sunyani from Kumasi.

A heap of sand for the construction of the road suspected to have caused the accident had been left over a month ago at the Mankraso stretch of the Kumasi- Sunyani road, where the fatal accident occurred.

Ebony driver’s attempt to suddenly swerve the bump, brought the car into a direct collision with a VIP bus in the other lane.
