Nana Ama McBrown to retire at 50, focus on food business

Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has shared details about her retirement plans, the age she hopes to slow down, and why she takes on multiple brand ambassadorial deals.

In an exclusive interview on Diva Doc Let’s Talk, McBrown revealed that she plans to retire at 50. She explained that reaching this milestone would be the right time to reduce her public appearances and focus on other ventures.

“Since I plan to slow down at 50, I need something else in the market aside from my farming. I want to venture into the food business,” she said.

The McBrown’s Sunflower Oil owner further shared that she has already started preparing for retirement by investing in farming. She explained that her goal is to gradually transition from acting and endorsements into agriculture and food production.

“At 50, I want to slow down on appearances and all that. I want to go into farming. I have started already,” she added.

McBrown, who currently represents 14 brands in Ghana, also discussed her vision for her farm. She said she plans to build a structure on the farm where visitors can relax before exploring the farmland.

“So at 50, I want you to come to my farm. I have a building on my farm. We’ll chill in the air conditioning and later go and get some okra,” she said with enthusiasm.

Her revelation surprised many, as some fans did not expect the actress to be involved in farming. Others compared her to musician and media personality Michy, who has also ventured into agriculture.

However, some people advised the Kumawood actress to be cautious about sharing too many details about her future plans. They expressed concerns that negative-minded individuals might try to hinder her success.

Despite this, McBrown remains focused on her vision. With her experience in business and branding, her transition from entertainment to farming and food production is set to be an exciting new chapter in her career.

Her story serves as an inspiration, showing that even at the height of success, planning for the future is key.
