Wisa Pulls ‘Fake Penis’ In Court

State prosecutors have accused Hiplife artiste Eugene Ashe of attempting to evade justice.

According to Inspector Judith B. Asante, the artiste had tendered a dildo to throw dust into the eyes of the court.

The artiste, known in showbiz as Wisa, had tendered a dildo to the court indicating that it was what he used on stage during his performance.

He told the court under cross-examination yesterday that the dildo he pulled on stage was not his penis.

But the prosecution disagreed and argued that Wisa did not tell the police he had something to use in addition to his real manhood.

Inspector Asante said the artiste also failed to take the said dildo to the police during investigation.

The prosecution held that Wisa released a single titled “Am Sorry” after the incident to apologize to his fans and family.

Wisa also admitted apologising to the Musicians Association of Ghana, (MUSIGA) but denied claims by the prosecutor that his evidence in court was an afterthought.

Wisa last week told the court that he drew out a fake penis while performing on stage.

According to wisa he fixed the said penis under his boxer shorts when he was about to leave the stage.

Tendering the said fake penis, Wisa said the “December to Remember” show was his first stage performance, “I planned to put up a performance that can be remembered and to generate news to make me popular”.

He said a member of his management team knew of this scheme to show off this fake penis.

He said it was after the event that he heard the news that he brought his penis to show it to the public and it was all over the internet which led the police to invite him for interrogation.

Wisa said he went to radio and television stations to apologise to the public because of the perception people were having at that moment including members of his family and his management so that all concerned would forgive and forget.

The “Ekiki Me” hit singe is standing trial for allegedly showing his manhood during a live performance on December 24, 2015 during the ‘December 2 Remember’ event at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

A video of the artiste stripping and rubbing what was believed to be his manhood against his female dancer on stage was put on social media, compelling his management to apologise for what it described as the artiste’s “rash and irresponsible behaviour”.
