Former MPs Join Subin NPP Campaign

THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) looks poised to retain the Subin Constituency parliamentary seat with an impressive number of votes cast on December 7.

This has been made possible following the intervention of two ex-Subin Members of Parliament (MP) of the party, who have joined the NPP campaign train.

The two former MPs, Messrs Isaac Osei and SK Boafo, have vowed to visit every nook and cranny of the constituency to campaign for more votes for the NPP.

According to them, the NPP should retain political power in December so that the country would continue to benefit from President Nana Akufo-Addo’s extraordinary works.

The two ex-lawmakers were on Saturday seen joining the current Subin NPP MP, Eugene Boakye Antwi, to lead a historic walk for more votes during the upcoming polls.

Isaac Osei and SK Boafo were seen being showered with tons of praises by the teeming NPP members, who looked overly excited to see them in their midst for the walk.

The NPP members, clad in the red, white and blue colours of the elephant family, virtually took over the principal streets of Subin, canvassing for more votes.

Isaac Osei, who is also a former Managing Director (MD) for Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), admonished NPP members in Subin to join the party’s house-to-house campaign agenda.

He said the Covid-19 restrictions would not allow the party to organize huge political rallies as usually done during polls, so the house-to-house campaign was suitable.

Isaac Osei also pledged his unflinching support for Eugene Boakye Antwi, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Subin, saying that the party needs total unity for victory.

According to him, President Nana Akufo-Addo has fulfilled most of his campaign promises “and so he has displayed that he is the best to properly manage the affairs of the state”.

In the regard, Isaac Osei stated that he would use his resources and time to campaign vigorously in order to help the NPP to retain the Subin seat and “Nana Addo to win a second term”.
