Greater Accra NPP Endorses John Boadu

The Greater Accra wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has declared their support for John Boadu who is aspiring for the General Secretary position of the party.

At a press briefing at the party’s head office yesterday, the Regional Secretary of the party, Odarlai Parker, said John Boadu’s contribution led to the party winning the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary election, hence the need for him to retain the position.

“We believe the task ahead is bigger in the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. The NPP cannot leave the leadership in the hands of people who are coming to try their luck. It is in this spirit that we the Secretaries of Greater Accra have resolved to throw our support for our brother John Boadu,” he said.

John Boadu who is currently the Acting General Secretary of the party is poised of retaining his position.

He is reported to have promised to furnish all party offices in the 275 constituencies and stock them with IT systems to assist in the party’s day to day activities.

According to the executives of the Greater Accra branch, they are emboldened of the innovative ideas promised by the General Secretary aspirant.

They further called on the delegates to vote massively for John Boadu in the upcoming National Delegates Conference.

“We appeal to all delegates to vote for John Boadu the man who led the victory when all hopes where lost,” he stressed.

National Annual Delegate Conference

The party’s National Annual Delegates Conference would come off on Friday July 6, at the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern Region.

The conference shall among other things elect national officers who will steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

This Conference, is being held pursuant to Article 10 of the Party Constitution, which provides that the National Annual Delegates Conference be held at least four (4) weeks after the last Regional Annual Delegates Conference.
