Maurice Ampaw Fights Pastors

POPULAR LEGAL practitioner and social commentator, Maurice Ampaw, has threatened to drag any doomsday pastor that would predict his untimely death to the law court and press for damages.

According to him, no ‘Man of God’ has the right to predict his death in public, church auditorium or any other place, since such a declaration could either cause him emotional trauma or negatively affect his source of income.

The famous lawyer therefore entreated anybody that would receive death prophecy from any man of God in the country to drag such pastor to the law court and sue him or her.

“I will sue any pastor in the country that will predict my death in public. Such prophecies have the potential of causing the individual deep emotional shock and trauma so the pastors must desist from it.

“Predicting your death in public will deny you your right to live peacefully as you will be hit with fear and anxiety for the rest of your life so anybody that will receive such death prediction from any pastor should sue.

“If you receive such death prophecy, it has the potential of preventing you from getting a business contract, since nobody will be willing to transact business with a person who is about to die.

“Such prophecies can also deny the person the right to get married as nobody will tie the knot with a person that has been declared to be on his/her way to the grave”, he said on Hello FM in Kumasi.

He opined that no doomsday pastor who would openly predict someone else’s death would be able to defend him or herself when dragged to court.

“If you sue such a pastor for causing you emotional pain and instability, as well as denying you your right to get married or do business, I bet you such Man of God cannot defend him or herself in court”.

In this regard, the outspoken lawyer served a strong notice that he would not accept any ‘doomsday’ prophecy from any pastor predicting his premature demise.

He therefore admonished pastors, who claim to have the spiritual eyes to predict people’s death, to rather see such people in the quiet and inform them about the prophecy.
