NDC Presidential Race: Rickett Hagan is Incompetent

The Greater Accra Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu has described Kwaku Rickett Hagan, a flagbearer aspirant of the NDC as an unserious person.

In an interview on ‘The Platform’ with Nana Yaw Kese, he said the former regional Minister’s failure to secure votes for the NDC in the Central Region during the 2016 election makes him incompetent to lead the party in 2020 general election.

“He is the worst performing regional minister who created enmity for the party to lose seat in the Central region. He led the party to depreciate votes in a magnitude we have never seen before,” he stressed.

The incumbent MP for Cape Coast South is noted for his jabs against the former President Mahama since he declared his intention to contest in the party’s election.

He is reported to have stated that the party’s chances of winning the 2020 elections will be bleak should the former President John Mahama be elected flagbearer.

However, Anthony Nukpenu has said Rickett Hagan’s is creating a platform that is unhealthy for the party.

He advised the flagbearer aspirant to stop throwing jabs at former President Mahama and tell party delegates what he can do when given the mandate to lead the party.

“I will advise all candidates not to focus on John Mahama but focus on NDC
